Did you say "radical-right"?
The Left is radical, by definition, for it seeks change. The Right, then, becomes reactionary, not radical. It reacts to the Left.
The correct term would have been "reactionary-right." When the Right becomes radical it ceases to be on the Right.
Ironic, isn't it, how you are a Leftist and yet this entire blog is reactionary? lol

Ooooooh the irony!
As I see it, the terms of Left and Right as you refer are no longer really relevant.
If we go back to the terms that you refer to, the right supported the monarchy/weathly class and the left supported the revolution and change. Change in and of itself is not radical, and I'm not sure support of an all power government is what your "side" (for I think I can rightly assume you are of the right) is in support of.
In this day and age if we are to generalize, the right supports less government and the left supports more government.
If you truly think, that because of the old-school definition that you reference for the origins of these terms of politics, the right cannot have a radical well...huh.
The meaning I have referenced is that of "extreme" - are the likes of Sarah Palin, Sean Hannity, et all not extremely right? Well, you may not think so but some of us certainly do.
